A Proud Moment for the Russell Martin Foundation
The Russell Martin Foundation is incredibly proud to share that Russell Martin has received a prestigious award from the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA), recognising the Foundation’s impact within the Sussex community.
Russell is one of just two people to receive this honour, a special moment that reflects how far the Foundation has come and the difference being made every single week.
While the award was presented to Russell, it represents something much bigger.
It represents the young people finding confidence through football.
The participants in our disability sessions building friendships and independence.
The families who trust us to provide safe, positive environments.
The coaches and staff who show up every day with energy, care and belief.
The Russell Martin Foundation was created to open doors and create opportunity. From grassroots football sessions to education programmes and inclusive community projects, everything we do is built around giving people a place to belong and a chance to grow.
To be recognised in this way by the PFA, an organisation that has supported the Foundation from the beginning, makes the moment even more meaningful.
This award is not a finish line. It’s a reminder of why the work matters.
