Russell Martin Academy

The Russell Martin Academy supports young people aged 7-19 years by providing development opportunities for players of all abilities and backgrounds. Through our high-quality football provision and regular contact with our positive, professional role models we aim to offer all players the opportunity of personal progression rather than results driven.

RMA provides an array of football services, from Professional Development Centres and Elite Centres for those players that require more structured and challenging sessions down to our development and Saturday Soccer Centres that cater for beginners and those looking for a more social approach to the game. All our centres are designed to offer an environment that will engage, challenge and develop every player.

Our Saturday sessions are open to boys and girls of all abilities aged from 5 year upwards. Our Saturday sessions are a good location to prepare players for future development at our Academy or a club level.

Each session will look at teaching the children the basic skills such as dribbling, ball control, passing as well as functional movement skills to improve their balance and coordination.

Walking Football

Walking Football is an adapted but equally fun form of the game for the over 50s and has recently seen an explosion in popularity. In addition to keeping people active, it aims to re-engage individuals who may have thought their football playing days were over. The manner in which the sport is played promotes cardiovascular fitness whilst producing the least stress on the body, making it ideal for those who have been told to ‘slow down’.
