Exciting new partnership with the BHASVIC Girls Sports Academy.
The Russell Martin Foundation is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with the BHASVIC Girls Sports Academy, for students aged 17–18.
As part of the partnership, students from the BHASVIC Sports Academy will begin supporting and coaching girls within the Russell Martin Academy, helping to inspire the next generation of female footballers while gaining valuable leadership and coaching experience themselves.
The initiative will also see RMF support the students through their FA coaching qualifications, providing mentoring and guidance as they work towards gaining their coaching badges and developing future career opportunities within sport.
The partnership forms part of RMF’s continued commitment to creating positive pathways for young people through football, education, and community engagement, while also increasing opportunities for young women within the game.
Dale Hurley, RMA Manager, said:
“We’re really excited to begin this partnership with BHASVIC Sports Academy. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the girls to gain hands on coaching experience while also supporting and inspiring our younger players. At RMA, we’re passionate about creating opportunities and pathways in football, and helping these young women work towards their FA coaching badges is another brilliant step forward.”
Lyndsey Whiley (Teacher and Netball Academy Coach)
"We are incredibly grateful to the Russell Martin Foundation for choosing to support our netball academy over the next two years. As a high-performing squad that has seen the first team be ranked 7th Nationally in the netball programmes first year as an academy, our players have shown outstanding commitment and success and this partnership recognises the value of investing in women’s sport at a crucial stage of development.
As this is our first experience of partnership, this support will make a significant difference. It will help us provide the squad with kit and equipment ensuring our athletes can continue to compete at a high level.
Most importantly, it reinforces to our players that their dedication, talent, and aspirations in sport are valued and worth investing in. We are excited about building a strong partnership and continuing to grow the academy with the support of the Russell Martin Foundation."
