Nigel Jenner Joins Forces with Russell Martin Foundation for Old Barn Way Project
Nigel Jenner, the newly elected councillor for Adur District Council, has announced his commitment to supporting the Russell Martin Foundation (RMF) with the Old Barn Way project in Southwick. This initiative aims to develop the area with an artificial football pitch and create a community hub for local residents.
Jenner recently met with RMF CEO Alan Sanders to discuss the project’s progress and future plans. Reflecting on the meeting, Jenner remarked, "Good to meet with Alan Sanders, CEO of RMF, in my capacity as a newly elected Adur District Councillor. We shared plans and ideas and had a site visit. I gathered information on the process to date and the potential vision for the future and a development of a partnership with Adur Council. One of our advantages is having had a professional relationship in a different context over a number of years and shared views on the project's potential."
The collaboration between Jenner and Sanders leverages their longstanding professional relationship, which promises to enhance the effectiveness of the project. By combining resources and expertise, they aim to transform Old Barn Way into a great space that benefits the Southwick community.
