RMA Newman College Into the ESFA U18 National Cup Final

RMA Newman College have booked their spot in the ESFA Super League U18 National Cup Final with a huge 5-0 win over Bradfield College in the semis. Next stop: the final at Stoke City’s stadium.

It was total domination from start to finish. Josiah Kallicharan and Joe Overy both bagged a brace, while Koby Farrell chipped in with a fifth to seal the deal. Overy ran the show from midfield and deservedly took home Player of the Match.

This isn’t just about one big win though, it’s about the project that’s taking shape at RMA Newman College. Led by Jay Lovett, who runs the programme for the Russell Martin Academy (RMA), the team has been on an incredible journey. With top-level coaching and a winning mindset, they’ve grown into a squad that’s now one game away from national champions.

It's more than just results, it’s about creating something special, giving young players a platform, developing players the right way, and showing what a real football-education partnership can achieve. RMA have built a culture that mixes hard work, development, and high standards, and it’s clearly paying off.

Alan Sanders RMF CEO said:

"Jay’s had a huge impact in a short space of time. We’re incredibly proud of what he’s built already, it’s exciting to see where this football programme can go"
