Supporting Alan Sanders in the Great South Run
Alan Sanders, CEO of the Russell Martin Foundation, is set to take on the Great South Run (10 miles) to raise money for two incredible causes, the Russell Martin Foundation and The Martlets Hospice. The Russell Martin Foundation focuses on supporting communities through education, sports, and personal development, while The Martlets Hospice provides essential care and support to people with terminal cancer and their families.
This run holds a particularly special meaning for Alan, as he wants to dedicate it to his dear friend Neil Avard (1960-2024), who sadly passed away from cancer earlier this year. Neil was more than a friend, he was kind-hearted and dedicated his life to helping others, both in his career as a teacher and in his later years of community service. His legacy of compassion and generosity continues to inspire all who knew him.
To honor Neil's memory and to support these two worthy charities, Alan is asking for your help. Any sponsorship you can provide will be split equally between the Russell Martin Foundation and The Martlets Hospice, ensuring that your contribution goes directly to helping others in need, just as Neil would have wanted.
